Diti, one of sage Kashyapa’s wives, surrenders to desire at an inauspicious hour, ignoring his warning that such a union could lead to demonic offspring. Her children, Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashipu, grow into ruthless demons, trained by Shukracharya to challenge Lord Vishnu.
